Chicago, IL (January 2007) - Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC, the recognized leader in weathering testing technology, has produced an interactive reference guide and educational CD on their premier Ci-Series Weather-Ometers for predicting service life of automotive materials, paint and coatings, plastics, packaging, textiles and building materials. |
The interactive CD is divided into sections which provide detailed information on comparing instruments, specific features, installing and setting up the instruments, running tests, and scheduled maintenance procedures. Video and flash animation demonstrations show how the Weather-Ometers' inner components work to simulate outdoor weathering with accelerated, uniform exposures of all tested samples. Touchscreen and various controller functions are also reviewed, as well as an in-depth look at xenon lamps, their filter combinations and their assembly.
An overall instrument comparison chart is available for viewing, as well as feature-by-feature comparisons such as total exposure area, temperature and humidity ranges, the footprint of each instrument, etc. Instructions on preparing for installation, assembly, start-up, loading standard tests, and irradiance calibration are included.
